The Mainland Retired Teachers Association (MRTA) was established in May of 1972, with Ann Corey as the first president of the eight original members. As MRTA enters its 53rd year our roster boasts over 150 members, and is one of twenty-three chapters in District 4 of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. Our members reside in Texas City, La Marque, Hitchcock, Santa Fe, and Dickinson .
